North Texas: Youth & Education

Making Science Fun

Youth and education are at the forefront of Pioneer’s community focus in North Texas. As a strong advocate for academic enrichment in all our operating areas, we cherish the opportunity to inspire young minds and foster educational opportunities whenever possible.

The Sally Ride Science Festival, which has visited the Dallas-Fort Worth area in recent years, is one such event Pioneer participates in. Known for having a lively booth of colorful displays and interactive demonstrations at the street fair, our geologists volunteer to teach junior high school students about earth science and concepts, such as how water and oil interact with each other.

Through experiences like these, it is our hope to provide youth in the community a firsthand look at real-world science applications.
