Several organizations that Pioneer supports carry special meaning, championing causes and issues of awareness that have affected employees or community members personally.
This is certainly the case with Mended Little Hearts, Inc., a national organization established to provide support, education and awareness for those living with or affected by congenital heart defects (CHD). Mended Little Hearts chapters all over the country work locally and nationally to facilitate mandatory newborn screening for CHD, with the future goal that all 50 states will encourage this testing.
Community members turned out in droves at the Heart Kid 5K in May 2012 to support the High Plains Mended Little Hearts Chapter in Amarillo, Texas. Many ran in honor of the 4-year-old son of one of Pioneer’s employees who lives with CHD, offering emotional and monetary support for the family of their coworker, neighbor and friend. All proceeds benefited the chapter, which includes the Panhandle regions, and provided education and support to individuals living with, caring for or remembering those with congenital heart defects.
Pioneer’s dedication to its employees and to the communities in which they live illustrates a bond far deeper than a typical company-worker environment. Pioneer is honored to provide steadfast support to its fellow community members.
At the helm of Pioneer’s success is a knowledgeable and experienced management team and Board of Directors.
